After studying law (the longest four years of my life!) I entered the world of work for one of the UK’s biggest recruiters as a secretarial and business support specialist. I quickly took on more responsibilities and got to see from the perspective of a Manager and Director just how the industry worked.
To be honest, I was very successful — I exceeded my targets and made great, long-lasting placements and relationships. But, the sheer pace and expectations prevented me from spending the time with clients and candidates that is required in order to offer a genuinely exceptional quality of service.
My drive to create a recruitment agency with a heart
It’s a cliché, for sure, but I’m from a family of entrepreneurs — smart people who saw a gap in a market and took a risk to fill it with something better. I’ve dreamed since I was young of setting up on my own.
And since entering the recruitment world, I’ve dreamed of setting up a company where we were able to do all we can to meet our clients’ needs (not our shareholders’) and offer a truly bespoke, personalised service to each and every candidate and hiring manager that engages us. I know it is possible — that’s what Executive Partnerships will do.
